Developing a Deployment Profile

A deployment profile defines the deployment for one or more packages to target servers. Deployment profiles are saved so you can re-execute the package or execute the package with modifications.

The following workflow guides you through the development process. For assistance in performing these tasks, open the Developing a Services Package Profile cheat sheet.

  1. Complete prerequisites.

    1. Develop one or more services.

    2. Develop one or more package profiles that contain services.

    3. Create target server connection profiles.

  2. Create a deployment profile using the New Deployment Profile wizard.

    The Deployment Editor opens.

  3. Complete the package profile:

    1. Learn about the Deployment Profile editor.

    2. Configure the deployment profile.

    3. Create the services package.

    4. Deploy a package.
