Configuring a Deployment Profile

On the Configuration page of the Deployment Profile editor, you can make any changes supported by the package type using the same tools used to create the services package profile. The following package attributes can be reconfigured:

Service endpoints bindings
Service access configuration
Package runtime configuration

This include the following specific changes to the deployment profile:

Add packages and servers
Delete packages and servers
Change target servers for included packages
Reconfigure package profiles for some packages

Deployment profiles can include an existing services package file that has already been generated from a package definition, but you cannot modify the configuration of the services within the generated services package file. Services Package files are displayed in the WorkSpace Navigator. Sybase Services Package files have a .svcpkg extension; EAServer 5.x Services Package files have a .jar extension.

To edit the deployment profile:

Edit the deployment profile in any of the following three sections:

Target Mapping	Edit the configuration and target servers for a package. The Packages tree lists the packages included in this deployment. Add Package, Remove Package, Add Target, or Validate the Configuration are active when you highlight a package. You must also select a package in this section before you work in the following sections.
Package Description	Edit the description associated with the highlighted package.
Servers	Edit the list of servers targeted for this deployment profile.

To add a package to the deployment profile:

In the Target Mapping section, highlight a package.
Click Add Package....
The Select Dialog opens.
Select a package or multiple package to include in this deployment profile.
Click OK.

To remove a package from the deployment profile:

Highlight a package.
Click Remove.
All custom configurations for the specific servers is also removed.

To add a new target server to a package:

Highlight a package.
Click Add Target... .
The Select Target Server dialog displays.
Select one or multiple package to include in this deployment profile.
Click OK.
The server is added to the list of target servers beneath the highlighted package.

To change target servers for a package:

Click Change Target... .
the Select Target Server dialog displays.
Select a server.
Click OK.
The configuration settings set for the original target server are used for the new target server.

To remove target servers from a package:

Click Remove Target.
All custom configuration set for that target is also removed.
