Creating a Service Managed Bean

You can create a managed bean from an existing SOAP service and add it to your Web application to invoke the service. You can find services using several sources. Use the Service Container to use a deployed service, the Service Explorer to use a service created using Sybase WorkSpace Service Development tooling; inquire the UDDI Registry to use a published service, or you can directly input the service descriptor location.

  1. Select File|New|Managed Bean from the main menu bar of the Web Application Development perspective.

The Create a Managed Bean wizard opens.

    Note

For other ways to access the Create a Managed Bean wizard, see Accessing a New Wizard in the Web Application Development Perspective.

  2. Follow the wizard instructions.

After you create the service managed bean, you can see its properties in Data Bindings.
