Creating a Java Managed Bean

You can create a Java managed bean and add it to your Web application to bind bean properties and business logic to the user interface components of the Java ServerPage (JSP). Using the Create a Managed Bean wizard, you can create a managed bean by either selecting an existing Java class or creating a new Java class.

To create a Java managed bean:

  1. Select File|New|Managed Bean from the main menu bar of the Web Application Development perspective.

The Create a Managed Bean wizard opens.

    Note

For other ways to access the Create a Managed Bean wizard, see Accessing a New Wizard in the Web Application Development Perspective.

  2. Follow the wizard instructions.

After you create the Java managed bean, you can see its properties in Data Bindings.
