The following tables describe the default, Fast View, and optional views available for the Web Application Development perspective.
Default views
View | Description |
---|---|
Data Bindings | A tree view of available managed beans and page variables. |
Enterprise Explorer | A tree view of external servers and their resources, including application servers, monitor servers, service containers, UDDI registries, message transports, and databases. You can create connections to external components in this view. |
Properties | A list of the attributes and values of the item selected in a Web application editor. You can edit values in this view. |
Service Explorer | A tree view of available services. |
WorkSpace Navigator | A tree view of resources used in the application. You can select a resource in this view to open it in its editor. |
An editor is also in the default Web Application Development perspective. The editor type is dependent on the selected resource.
Fast views
View | Description |
---|---|
Outline | A tree view, or a thumbnail sketch, of the structural elements of the resource that is currently open in the editor. |
Palette | A collection of controls and user interface components. You can drag controls from the Palette and drop them onto Web application development editors to build a Web application. |
Optional views
View | Description |
---|---|
Console | A list of errors and the output of a process. You can edit the process in this view. |
Servers | A list of host servers to which you can publish Web application pages. |
Problems | A list of warnings errors or log problems generated while building a Web application. |
