Developing a Simple Web Application

The following workflow guides you through the development process of developing a simple Web application A simple Web application can contain JavaServer Faces (JSF) component support, which is selected by default when you create a Web Application project.

To develop a simple Web application:

Complete the setup.
Create a Web Application project.
Create a Web page.
1. Add controls from the Palette to the Web page.
2. Define control properties.
3. (Optional) Change the appearance of a control.
4. (Optional) Add an object to the Web page.
5. Review and edit object properties.
6. (Optional) Preview the Web page.
7. Save the Web page.
8. Test the Web page.
9. Repeat step 3 a-h to create additional Web pages.
Complete the JSF application configuration.
Complete the Web XML configuration.
Create a Web application navigation flow.
Deploy the Web application.
Test the linked pages in the flow.
