Sybase HIPAA Accelerator includes compliance maps for each X12/HIPAA transaction.
Inbound maps use an EDI message as input to create application data. You receive EDI messages from your trading partners.
Outbound maps use application data to create an EDI message. The EDI message is the output of the map, and it is generally sent from your company to your trading partner.
Table 1-2 lists the subfolder names that contain Sybase HIPAA Accelerator compliance maps, which are located at C:\Program Files\Sybase\HIPAA60\Maps.
