Chapter 4 Connecting to the Repository
You have to use a repository definition to connect to a repository.
The repository definition contains the connection parameters defined on your local machine. You use these parameters to establish the connection with the database.
Local connection parameters
Repository definitions can change from one user to another in the same team, since the definition is a set of local parameters; however, they all lead to the same database.
The connection parameters depend on the connection type you select (direct or proxy) when you create a repository definition. For more information about creating a repository definition, see the Creating a repository definition section.
