Chapter 6 Extracting documents


Selecting a configuration

A configuration is a set of document versions created to formalize the links between document versions. When you select a configuration, you add all the document versions to the extraction list.

You can select to extract a configuration on your local machine to work on a project.

For more information on selecting a configuration for locks, see section Locking multiple documents in chapter Managing Document Versions in the Repository.

For more information on adding a configuration to a configuration, see section Adding the document versions of another configuration in chapter Managing Document Versions in the Repository.

Steps To extract a configuration:

  1. Select Repository→Extract.

    The Extract Multiple Documents dialog box appears.
  2. Click the Add Configuration tool.


    The Select Configuration dialog box appears.
  3. Select a configuration in the list.
  4. Click OK.

    The versions of the different documents declared in the configuration are added to the list of documents to extract.
  5. Click OK to start extraction.
