Defining repository search parameters

You can look for objects consolidated or modified in the repository using the following search criteria:

The user who consolidated the object and the consolidation date saved in the repository object
The user who modified the object (by consolidation) and the modification date saved in the repository object

You can define date and user find parameters for a selected model or object type, or for all models and all object types.

The date and user find expressions in the repository are the following:

Expression	Description
Created	Select this check box if you want to define consolidation parameters
Created by	Full name of the user who consolidated the object in the repository, note this name is not the system login name. You can use the dropdown list box to display the list of all repository users
Date	Consolidation date criteria, you can search: Before a given date After a given date Between two dates During a period of time
Modified	Select this check box if you want to define modification (by consolidation) parameters
Modified by	Full name of the user who last consolidated the object, note this name is not the system login name
Date	Modification date criteria, you can search: Before a given date After a given date Between two dates During a period of time

You can use creation parameters or modification parameters. You can also combine both criteria by selecting the Created and Modified check boxes.

Local and repository dates

It is possible to use both Local and Repository Dates pages to define search criteria.

For example, you want to see all objects consolidated by a user during a certain period of time but you only know the system login name of a user (because you use it via e-mail) and not his repository full name.

You can:

Type the system login name in the Local Dates page
Type the consolidation dates in the Repository Dates page

To define repository find parameters:

Select Repository→Find Objects.

or

Right-click a node in the repository browser and select Find Objects.

The Find Objects dialog box opens to the Name & Location page.

Select a location, a model name and version, and an object type in the corresponding dropdown list box.

Click the Repository Dates tab.

The Repository Dates page appears.

Select the Created check box and type consolidation parameters in the groupbox.

Select the Modified check box and type last consolidation parameters in the groupbox.
