Defining local search parameters

In the repository, you can define search parameters for objects created or modified on the local machines of the different team members. You can also define search parameters for objects created and modified in the repository.

You can search the repository for objects corresponding to local search criteria:

The user who created the object and the creation date saved in the local document, note that the date is not the consolidation date.
The user who modified the object and the modification date saved in the local document, note that the date is not the consolidation date.

You can define date and user find parameters for a selected model or object type, or for all models and all object types.

The date and user local find expressions are the following:

Expression	Description
Created	Select this check box if you want to define creation parameters
Created by	System login of the user who created the object on a local machine
Date	Creation date criteria, you can search: Before a given date After a given date Between two dates During a period of time
Modified	Select this check box if you want to define modification parameters
Modified by	System login of the user who made the last modification to the object
Date	Modification date criteria, you can search: Before a given date After a given date Between two dates During a period of time

You can use creation parameters or modification parameters. You can also combine both criteria by selecting the Created and Modified check boxes.

To define local find parameters:

Select Repository→Find Objects.

or

Right-click a node in the repository browser and select Find Objects.

The Find Objects dialog box opens to the Name & Location page.

Select a location, a model name and version, and an object type in the corresponding dropdown list boxes.

Click the Local Dates tab.

The Local Dates page appears.

Select the Created check box and type creation parameters in the groupbox.

Select the Modified check box and type modification parameters in the groupbox.
