Editing a Service Endpoint

You have the option of editing an endpoint before packaging by using the service editor or when creating a services package profile using the Service Package Profile editor.

To edit a service endpoint using the service editor:

  1. Open the service you want to edit.

  2. Select the Service Interface tab in the service editor.

  3. Right-click the endpoint in the Service Interface and select Edit Endpoint from the context menu to open the Edit Endpoint Wizard.

  4. Choose from the following endpoint types:

    Endpoint Type

    FieldDescription

    Logical

Defines a logical endpoint, requiring you to bind the service endpoint later in the development process.

    Server

Defines and binds the service endpoint. You can edit this endpoint any time in the development process.
  5. Enter the endpoint name, and click Next.

  6. Define the connection properties. Browse for a valid endpoint in the Enterprise Explorer, or Specify the endpoint properties and press Enter to enable the Next button.

The properties set is dependent on the service type.

  7. Review the service details in the Summary page. Choose from the following:

    • Click Finish to complete the service endpoint.

    • Click Back to edit a value.
