An endpoint represents an actual instance or implementation of a particular resource type.
Use the following table to identify the implementation types and interface options for each service type.

Database | A physical database (connection profile) | Supports single interface and multiple database types |
EJB | EJB implementation | Supports a single interface and implementation |
Java | Java code (.java or .class file) | Supports a single interface |
Message | A transport (queue, file, email account) | Supports a single interface and implementation |
SOAP | A WSDL file (wrapped services) | Supports a single interface |
Business Process | A business process (.bpmn file) | Supports a single interface that may be bound to multiple endpoints of different types |
Transformation | A map (.map file) | Supports a single map for each service |
