Adding a Monitor Service to a Business Process

Add monitor services to a business process service to enable business activity monitoring in your business process.

After you define your setTypes and create the Monitor service from the SetType definition, the generated service appears on the Service Explorer. You can implement any SetType operation as a monitor service in your business process.

To add a monitor service to a business process:

Create a business process service.
Add a monitor service to a business process:
1. Select the Business Process tab.
2. Open the Tool palette and select the Activities tab.
3. Drag an Assign activity onto the design canvas. Position it at the point in the business process where you want monitoring to occur.
4. Map the values for the Assign.
5. Open the Service Explorer and expand service generated SetType to display the SetType operations.
6. Drag the monitor service (setType operation) onto the design canvas, and place it directly after the Assign activity.
7. Connect the activities and operations with arrows.
Save the business process service.
