Creating a Monitor Server Connection Profile

Create a Monitor Server connection profile to connect to a JMS endpoint and enable business activity monitoring in a business process service. You can also use the fully-configured default Monitor Server connection profile installed with Sybase WorkSpace.

  1. In the Enterprise Explorer, right-click Monitor Servers and select New.

  2. In the Wizard Selection page, select Monitor Server Connection Profile and click Next.

  3. Complete the following information in the wizard pages:

    Create Connection Profile

    Name

    Enter a unique name, for example, MONSRVS01.

    Description

    Enter text to describe the connection, for example, Monitor Connection.

    Auto-Connect

    Select this check box to establish an automatic connection to the monitor server.

    New Monitor Connection Profile

    Select Driver

    Select the driver for your monitor service database, or click [...] to define a new driver.

    The Driver Definitions dialog appears.

    Provider URL

    jnp://localhost:1099

    User Name

    Enter a unique user name.

    Password

    Enter the password for the user name.

  4. Click Next:

  5. In the Summary page, click Back to make changes or Finish to confirm.

    Note

    If you change the connection properties of a connection profile that is already connected, the connection profile will immediately disconnect from the resources and automatically attempt to reconnect using the updated information.
