Before creating Java services, complete the following:
Create and configure projects.
Create the Java service file in a Sybase WorkSpace project. The Java source code and class files that are associated with the service must be part of a Java project or another project type with the Java nature assigned to it. If you use a Sybase project, you can add the Java nature from within the New Service wizard. You can configure the Java nature manually if you want more control over the Java project settings. Source folders help you keep your Java source files separated from unrelated files such as the Sybase service definition or service package files.
(Optional) Configure Java Builder Resource Filters.
These settings control which file types the Java Builder copies to the runtime build of your Java source files, for example, you can configure the filter to not copy files such as Sybase service definition or service package files..
