Creating a Sybase WorkSpace Project

A project is a collection of resources that together accomplish a task. A Sybase WorkSpace Project is one type of project that you can create. In Service Development, the project contains all of the resources for the service, including package profile and deployment profile definitions. In Database Development, a project typically stores related SQL files that can be used later for queries or in creating procedural objects.

To create a New Sybase WorkSpace Project:

  1. Select File|New|Project to open the New Project wizard.

    The Project page appears.

  2. Select Sybase|Sybase WorkSpace Project. Click Next.

  3. Enter the name of your project in the Project Name field. Select the Use Default check box if you want to store your project in the default location, or use the Browse... button to select a different directory.

  4. Click Finish.

Sybase WorkSpace creates a project folder in the location you specified and its name appears in WorkSpace Navigator.

Note

For alternate ways of accessing the New Project wizard, see Wizards.
