Using a transformation service, you can modify the structure of documents and perform data enrichment by graphically mapping data from source documents to target documents.
In a transformation service, you can:
Map content between XML documents.
Map content between custom wire format messages, which are modeled as message definitions using the integrated Message Designer editor.
Map to and from any combination of XML and custom wire format documents using XSL transformation.
Change the structure of a document by mapping elements from a source document to a target document that uses a different content model.
Merge data from multiple source documents into a single target document.
Split data from a single source document into multiple target documents.
Perform data enrichment by assigning an expression to any mapping of data elements.
A transformation service can be deployed independently or incorporated into a composite service such as a business process service or a Java service.
