Creating Mobile Catalogs

Use the New Mobile Catalog wizard to create a new mobile catalog.

Note

The Mobile Catalogs folder appears in WorkSpace Navigator only if you set the preference in Window|Preferences|General|Capabilities|Mobile Development Portal. See Setting Capabilities Preferences.

To create a mobile catalog:

  1. Select File|New|Other|Mobile Development|Mobile Catalog to launch the New Mobile Catalog wizard.

  2. Specify the following information:

    Connection ProfileSelect the connection profile from the drop-down list, or click Create Profile to create a new connection profile.
    Mobile Catalog NameEnter a name for the mobile catalog.
    StatusSelect the status of the mobile catalog from the drop-down menu.

  3. Click Finish. This creates a mobile catalog without any content and launches the mobile catalog editor.

  4. Use the Layout page of the mobile catalog editor to add content to and choose the layout of the mobile catalog.

  5. Save the mobile catalog by selecting File|Save As from the main menu. Enter a name for the mobile catalog, and click OK.

  6. Deploy the mobile catalog by right-clicking on the mobile catalog and selecting Deploy.
