Generating and Editing Dashboard Templates

From the Mobile Template Editor, use the Customize mobile template for Portal to associate a mobile template to a portal dashboard and define the following properties.

Dial Guage Dimension Properties

  • Angular width - defines the angular wideth of the dial in degrees. Valid values are 1to 359.

  • Starting angle - defines the starting angle of the dial in degrees. Valid values are blank (0) or 1 to 359.

  • Outer radius - defines the outer radius of the dial in pixels.

  • Inner radius - defines the inner radius of the dial in pixels.

Dial Hand Properties

  • Dial hand type - defines the type of dial you want to display.

  • Pivot radius - defines the pivot radius of the dial hand in pixels.

  • Pivot color - defines the pivot color.

Layout Properties

  • Outside margin- defines the outside margin of the layout in pixels.

  • Column margin- defines the column margin of the layout in pixels.

  • Row margin- defines the row margin of the layout in pixels.

Colors

Color range

  • Click Add to open the Color Pallette and add a color.

  • Select a color in the Color Range and click Edit to open the Color Pallette and edit a color choice.

  • Select a color in the Color Range and click Remove to remove a color choice.

  • Click Remove All to remove all color selections.

  • Select a color in the Color Range and click Move up to move a color choice up the selection list.

  • Select a color in the Color Range and click Move down to move a color choice down the selection list.

Header & Text

Header Properties

  • Font – defines the name of the header font.

  • Font size – defines the size of the header, which must be an integer between 1 and 16.

  • Font color – defines the color of the header text. Click the color bar to display the color palette. Choose from the existing palette, or click Define Custom Colors to define a new color.

  • Font bold – displays the header in bold characters.

  • Margin height – defines the margin height of the header in pixels.

Text Properties

Labels

Enable labels

Select this option to enable labels on the Dashboard template. Once enabled, you can add or edit labels.

Label Font Properties

  • Font – enter the name of the header font, or select a header font from the drop-down list.

  • Font size – the size of the header, which must be an integer between 1 and 16.

  • Font color – the color of the header font. Click the color bar to display the color palette. Choose from the existing palette, or click Define Custom Colors to define a new color.

  • Font bold – displays the header in bold characters.

Label Display Properties

  • Number of labels – enter the number of labels on the dial guage.

  • Number of decimals – enter the places you want the decimal point removed.

  • Label prefix – Enter a prefix that you want prepended to the label. Leave blank for no prefix.

  • Label suffix – Enter a suffix that you want appended to the label. Leave blank for no suffix.

  • Overwrite maximum label display – Enter a string to display as the guage's maximum, which overrides the default value.

  • Overwrite maximum label display – Enter a string to display as the guage's minimum, which overrides the default value.

Tooltip

Enable tooltip

Select this option to enable tooltips on the Dashboard template. Once enabled, you edit the appearance of the tooltips.

  • Font – enter the name of the header font, or select a header font from the drop-down list.

  • Font size – the size of the header, which must be an integer between 1 and 16.

  • Font color – the color of the header font. Click the color bar to display the color palette. Choose from the existing palette, or click Define Custom Colors to define a new color.

Tick marks

Enable tick marks

Select this option to enable tick marks on the Dashboard template.

Major Tick Mark Properties

  • Number of tick marks – the number of major tick marks on the dashboard template.

  • Tick mark length – define the length of a major tick mark in pixels.

  • Tick mark thickness – define the thickness of a major tick mark in pixels.

  • Tick mark color – define the color of the tick mark, using the Color Palette.

Minor Tick Mark Properties

  • Number of tick marks – the number of minor tick marks on the dashboard template

  • Tick mark length – define the length of a minor tick mark in pixels.

  • Tick mark thickness – define the thickness of a minor tick mark in pixels.

  • Tick mark color – define the color of the tick mark, using the Color Palette.

Event

Event Properties

  • Event name – name the event.

  • Event value – define the value of the event, using the drop-down list. For static event types, enter the value in the textbox.

  • Notify now – provide users with immediate notification of the event.

  • Notify across – provide users and listeners on other pages with event notification.
