Saving Execution Results

You may want to save the execution results from running a procedural object or executing a SQL file.

To save a single result set to a project:

  1. In SQL Results, if you are in single-tab mode, toggle to multitab mode by clicking Display Result in Single Tab (Display result in single tab).

  2. Place the cursor on the Result tab or anywhere inside the result set.

  3. Save the result by doing one of:

    • Right-click and select Save Single Result.

    • Click the Save the Current Result Set button (Save the Current Result Set ) in the SQL Results toolbar.

  4. Enter or select the name of a parent Project folder in which to save the result set. If you do not have a project in which to save the result set, create a new project by clicking Create Project to launch the New Project wizard. See Creating a Sybase Project for details on creating a project.

  5. In File name, enter the name you want to save the result set as. From the File type drop-down list, select the format (Plain Text, XML, HTML, or CSV) in which to save the result set.

  6. Specify export format options.

  7. Click OK. The result set appears in the editor or external tool for the format you chose.

To save all result sets for the current operation to a project:

  1. Select a result instance by placing the cursor on it in the History frame, or on any Result tab in SQL Results.

  2. Save the result sets by doing one of:

    • From the Result tab, right-click and select Save All Results from the context menu.

    • From the History frame or the Result tab, click the Save All the Result Sets in the Selected Result Instance button (Save all the result sets in the selected result instance ) in the SQL Results toolbar.

  3. Enter or select the name of a parent Project folder in which to save the result set. If you do not have a project in which to save the result set, create a new project by clicking Create Project to launch the New Project wizard. See Creating a Sybase Project for details on creating a project.

  4. In File name, enter the name you want to save the result set as. From the File type drop-down list, select the format (Plain Text, XML, HTML, or CSV) in which to save the result set.

  5. Specify export format options.

  6. Click OK. The result set appears in the editor or external tool for the format you chose.
