Database Development tooling uses the Eclipse launch configuration mechanism to run stored procedures, triggers, ASA user-defined functions, and ASA events. Sybase WorkSpace provides a Launch Configuration wizard to guide you through running procedural objects.
To run a procedural object, perform either of the following procedures:
Create a launch configuration, then run the procedural object. This method allows you to track different configurations of the same procedure so you can easily repeat their execution. Select Run|Run from the Sybase WorkSpace toolbar to open the Launch Configuration wizard. You can configure parameters, enter SQL statements for triggers, and run configurations from the Create, Manage, and Run Configurations page.
Run the procedural object from Database Explorer to open the Launch Configuration wizard, then change the parameters on the Configure Parameters page or enter SQL statements for triggers from the Modify Attributes and Launch page. This method is faster to set up and run, but you cannot save launch configurations for future use.
