Exporting Execution Results

You can export one or all result sets. Exporting saves the result set to a file outside of any Sybase WorkSpace project, for use with other applications.

To export a single result set:

  1. In SQL Results, if you are in single-tab mode, toggle to multitab mode by clicking Display Result in Single Tab (Display result in single tab).

  2. Select the result instance by placing the cursor anywhere inside the result set under a Result tab in SQL Results view.

  3. Save the result for export by any of these methods:

    • Right-click and select Export Single Result.

    • Click the Export Single Result button (Export the current result set) in the SQL Results toolbar.

    The Export Result dialog appears.

  4. Select a file format (Plain Text, XML, HTML, or CSV) from the Format list.

  5. Browse for the location to save the result set.

  6. Click Save. The Select Export Format page reappears, and the path name to your export file appears in the File name field.

  7. Specify export format options.

  8. Click Finish. You return to SQL Editor.
