Administrator Tab

Use the Administrator tab to view component connections and configuration issues, administer user accounts, and modify transfer and truncation rules.

The Administrator tab contains subtabs for administering OpsConsole functions, such as System Configuration, Users, Transfer Rules, and Truncation Rules.

The System Configuration subtab contains the System View pane and Configuration Issues pane.

The System View pane shows component connections within the RAP system. Publishers appear in the left side, subscribers in the middle, and RAPCache and RAPStores on the right. Publishers, RAPCache, and RAPStores sort alphabetically. Subscribers are grouped according to the RAPCache or Store databases they use, and then alphabetically by name. Colored lines connect components. Move your mouse over a component icon to see lines in bold, which indicates different component connections.

The name, host name representative icon, and edit icon of each component is shown. The Configuration Issues pane displays a table of configuration issues that affect the system. Publisher configuration issues are listed first, followed by subscriber configuration issues. Issues are sorted based on severity within each component type, with issues of higher severity sorted first. If there are no configuration issues, a message to that effect appears instead of the table.

The Users subtab displays the status of all current users. Create, delete, monitor, and modify user profiles from the User Accounts pane.

The Transfer Rules and Truncation Rules subtabs are used for creating, editing, deleting, and manually running transfer and truncation rules. See Data Transfer Rules and Data Truncation Rules.
