Setting environment variables

InstallShield automatically sets system environment variables that are needed by InstallShield, such as PATH, as well as additional environment variables required by your newly installed Sybase software. InstallShield installs two files that contain these environment variables:

After exiting InstallShield, you can reset the environment variables using these files, if needed.

Table 2-4 describes the environment variables.

%LM_LICENSE_FILE%

The subdirectory path to the license.dat file, which SySAM needs to run the license manager.

%PATH%

The directory path to Replication Server files.

%SYBASE%

The home directory where you install all Sybase products.

%SYBASE_JRE%

The subdirectory path to the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) resides.

%SYBASE_OCS%

The subdirectory path to Open Client files.

%SYBASE_REP%

The subdirectory path to Replication Server.

%SYBASE_RSM%

The subdirectory of the Replication Server Manager.

%SYBASE_RMP%

The subdirectory path to the Replication Manager plug-in to Sybase Central, Java Edition.

%SYBASE_SYSAM%

The subdirectory path to SySAM license manager.

%SYBASE_RSP%

The subdirectory path to the Replication Server plug-in to Sybase Central, Windows Edition, if you install it from the PC-Client CD.
