Creating a .bat file
for Replication Server and RSM Server start-up
To create a .bat file for Replication Server, insert the contents of the c:\sybaseREP\SYBASE.bat file into the beginning of the c:\sybaseREP\REP-12_5\install\RUN_RSservername.bat file, where RSservername is the name of your Replication Server.
To create a .bat file for RSM Server, insert the contents of the c:\sybaseREP\SYBASE.bat file into the beginning of c:\sybaseREP\RSM-12_5\install\RUN_RSMSservername.bat, where RSMSservername is the name of your RSM Server.
When you execute these .bat files, you set all environment variables for Replication Server and RSM Server to use the unique Replication Server product directory.
Starting Replication Server
and RSM Server automatically
To start Replication Server automatically when you restart the system:
Go to C:\Documents and Settings\adminuser\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
Add a new shortcut for c:\sybaseREP\REP-12_5\install\RUN_servername.bat.
Replication Server now starts automatically after you restart the system.
To start RSM Server automatically when you restart the system:
Go to C:\Documents and Settings\adminuser\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
Add a new shortcut for c:\sybaseREP\RSM-12_5\install\RUN_RSMSservername.bat.
RSM Server now starts automatically after you restart the system.
