The properties for the runtime instance and the resources are divided into optional and required groupings. There are default settings for all required properties except the Error Transport and the No Hit Transport properties. These values must be identified, based on the endpoints configured on the server.
The icons next to each property provide visual cues to easily distinguish what has and has not been configured.

The Properties view in the administration perspective is read-only. You must open the properties editor to add or change values.
Note: You can configure a runtime instance before or after delivering a package to the instance.

To specify instance property information:
In the Server Explorer, verify that the runtime instance is connected.
The host machine should indicate (connected). If it does not, click the expand symbol to connect to it.
Use one of the following methods in the Server Explorer view to open the properties editor:
Right-click on the host machine or runtime instance and select Properties.
Select a runtime instance to display the properties, select a property, and click the Edit icon.
Select a runtime instance to display the properties and double-click on a property.
Note: Opening the editor by first selecting a property opens the editor to that property information and enables modifying other properties.
When opening the properties editor from a host or instance level, expand the Properties folder in the tree structure panel of the editor.
Select a property to have editable property information display on the right side of the window.
Specify the value for the property or click Use Default to return the value to its valid default setting.
Click OK to save and close the window, or scroll down to the resource and endpoint properties to complete the configuration of a delivered package.
