Reviewing and Editing Configuration Properties

Verification of the runtime instance properties, input transport properties, and database connection properties is required to prepare the server for runtime processing.

These properties are originally set when the instances, services, transports, and endpoints are configured. However, the configuration properties can be modified during final runtime configuration.

To view the configuration properties currently set for a runtime instance:

  1. In the Server Explorer, verify that the runtime instance is running and that the service machine indicate connected. If it is not connected, click the expand symbol next to the runtime instance to connect.

  2. In the Server Explorer, right-click on the runtime instance for which you want to view properties, and select Properties. The Properties window opens.

or

Click to select any runtime instance and view all properties in the Properties view.

  1. Click to expand the Properties node for the runtime instance or expand the Resources node and click Database Connection Pool or Transport.

  2. Click to select any of the parameters. The current setting for the selected parameter is displayed in the right pane of the Properties Editor or in the Properties view.

  3. Edit property settings in the Properties window, or double click on the property in the Properties view to open the Properties Editor for editing.

Tip: For any properties that you click to select a value, you can change the selection by clicking on the new value. For example, if you want to change the transport defined as the BizTracker transport, just click on the name of the transport you want to be defined. The value changes to the newly selected value.

For optional properties, you may want to deselect a property value without defining a new one. To deselect rather than change the property value, press CTRL and click on the selected value in the list. This deselects the property value.
