In Unwired Orchestrator, a Web service endpoint connection is the pair of URLs that are required by the UDDI protocol to enable communication with a UDDI registry. Unwired Orchestrator provides pre-configured connections to the following registries:
IBM UDDI Business Registry
Microsoft UDDI Business Registry
TrySybaseUse
You can use the New Endpoint Wizard to configure connections to additional UDDI registries. You will need the following information:
A name. Provide a name and description of the configuration.
An inquiry URL. The URL that processes request to search service descriptions.
A publishing URL.
The URL that handles request to add or update service descriptions.
The current release of Unwired Orchestrator does not support publishing
to UDDI registries.
The UDDI registry endpoint is created and uses the defined properties. These properties can be edited from the Endpoint Manager.
You may need to Set UDDI Registry Preferences
Note: The UDDI registry is a directory, comparable to yellow pages for web services, and is not the actual endpoint. At runtime, the UDDI registry is not involved.
When you define a business process that employs a Web service, you create service interactions for the operations in the Web service just as you would for other external services. The WSDL document contains identification and protocol information referring to a server machine with network connectivity, which can be either the Internet or a subnet within your organization, and the software running on the machine that hosts the service implementation. This Web service endpoint is comparable to a database server acting as the endpoint for a database service.
