Chapter 3 Basic Repository Tasks
The link between the local document and the repository document is saved in the current workspace. This link allows you to update a document, model or external application file, in the repository.
When you consolidate external application documents you have to save the local workspace to create the link between the repository and the local document.
To be able to update an external application document that does not belong to the current workspace, you have to extract the document from the repository, select the Add to Workspace check box and then save the workspace. This allows you to update the document the next time you consolidate it.
