Chapter 2 Information Liquidity Model Basics


Creating an ILM

You can create a new ILM from the File menu. An ILM must be attached to one or more extended model definitions that correspond to the replication engines you need to use, and which are selected at creation.

Steps To create a new ILM:

  1. Select File→New to display the New dialog box.
  2. Select Information Liquidity Model in the list of model types.
  3. Select one of the following radio buttons:

  4. Type a model name in the Model name box. The code of the model, which may be used for script or code generation, is derived from this name according to the model naming conventions.
  5. Click the Extended Model Definitions tab, and select the extended model definitions for one or more replication engines that you want to model.

  6. Select either Share or Copy.
  7. Click OK to create the new ILM in the current Workspace.
