Conceptual data property sheet CDM Models tab

In the CDM Models tab, you can define with which Conceptual Data Model (CDM) the conceptual data is associated. This association allows you to describe the architecture of the conceptual data. The CDM is a schema of the conceptual data. You can also delete associations you no longer want.

You must have at least one CDM opened in the workspace to create associations.

You can open the CDM Models tab by right-clicking the conceptual data symbol in the diagram, and selecting CDM Models.

Steps To associate a CDM with a conceptual data:

  1. Open a conceptual data property sheet.
  2. Click the CDM Models tab and click the Add existing CDM Models tool in the toolbar to open a selection list.
  3. Select one or more CDMs and click OK.

    The selected CDMs are displayed in the CDM Models tab. You can select a CDM and click the Open Model tool in the toolbar to open the associated CDM.
  4. Click OK to close the property sheet.

You can directly open a CDM associated with a conceptual data by right-clicking a conceptual data symbol in the diagram and select the Open Model command. If several models are associated with the conceptual data, a selection dialog box is displayed. Select a CDM and click OK.
