Generating remote UltraLite database

If the remote database you are going to use is a UltraLite database, you need to create a remote Sybase AS Anywhere database first, then convert it to a UltraLite database.

Steps To generate a UltraLite database:

  1. Generate a remote Sybase AS Anywhere database as for a single MobiLink user.
  2. Right click the remote database and select the Convert ASA Database to UltraLite Database command.

This command converts the remote Sybase AS Anywhere database to a UltraLite database .usm file. The UltraLite database will have the same structure and publications than the Sybase AS Anywhere database.

The remote Sybase AS Anywhere database is used as the database template. If the remote Sybase AS Anywhere database is located in a different location, you can use the RemoteDatabaseFile extended attribute to indicate the file path.
