Chapter 12 Working with Replication Server
Generating a Replication Server file for the entire model
You generate a Replication Server file for the entire model using the Tools→Extended Generation command.
You can customize your object selection for generation.
To generate a Replication Server file for the entire model:
- Select Tools→Extended Generation.
The Generation dialog box opens to the Targets tab. It lists all the ILM targets attached to your model, for which you can generate.
- Select the check box that correspond to the target you want to generate. You can also generate for several targets at the same time.
- Type a destination directory for the generated file in the Directory box.

Click the Select a Path button to the right of the Directory box and browse to select a directory path.
- <optional> Select the Check Model check box if you want to verify the validity of your model before generation.
- Click Apply.
- Click the Selection tab to display the Selection tab.
- Select the objects to include in the generation from the tabbed pages at the bottom of the tab.
- Click the Options tab to display the Options tab.
- Select a value for each required option.
- Click the Tasks tab to display the Tasks tab.
- Select the required task(s).
- Click OK to generate.
A Progress box is displayed. The Result list displays the file that you can edit. The result is also displayed in the Generation tab of the Output window, located in the bottom part of the main window.
The Replication Server file is generated in the destination directory.
