Chapter 12 Working with Replication Server
A publication is a set of articles from the same primary database.
Each article is a replication definition for a table or stored procedure and a set of where clauses that specify which rows are of interest. An article can contain zero, one, or multiple where clauses. Multiple clauses are separated by the "or" keyword.
You design a Replication Server publication the following way:
Replication Server concept | PowerDesigner concept |
---|---|
Publication | Publication |
A PowerDesigner publication can have different types (for example, Database, Replication Definitions, etc.) that depend on the type you selected for the parent replication process.
For more information about the PowerDesigner publication types, see section Understanding the publication type.
