Chapter 12 Working with Replication Server


Defining a route

In Replication Server, a route transfers requests from a source Replication Server to a destination Replication Server. You create a route in PowerDesigner using a process connection object, which is a link that specifies the way data are moved between two replication processes.

Administrator name

If the name of the administrator is the same for both process servers you do not have any specification to add.

If the name of the administrator is different for both process servers you must redefine the user name and password in the Route Options tab of the route in order for them to be the same as the user name and password of the target server.
