First, you need to prepare the source and target PDMs, XSMs and BPMs with which the ILM data stores (database, XML document, business process and flat file) will be associated.
In the information liquidity diagram, you can also directly right-click a database, a business process or an XML document symbol and select the Reverse Engineer command in order to generate a PDM from an existing database schema, a BPM from a business language, and an XSM from a schema. For the reverse engineer of a database, you first need to fill data source connection information to proceed to the reverse. The reverse automatically creates and attaches the PDM to the database.
