Creating a message part

You create a message part from the message format property sheet. To display the message format property sheet, you can:

Steps To create a message part:

  1. Click the Definition tab in the message format property and select the Message Parts radio button beside Type to display the list of message parts in the bottom part of the dialog box.
  2. Click a blank line in the list.

    or

    Click the Add a Row tool.

    An arrow is displayed at the beginning of the line.
  3. Type a message part name and a message part code.

    You can then double-click the new message part to display its properties.
  4. Click OK in each of the dialog boxes.
