Assign activity	Process with "Assign" implementation type.

When you create an assign activity with the "Assign" implementation type, this triggers the display of the Assignments tab:

In the Assignments tab you then have to:

Click a blank line to create a data transformation object.
Select an Assigned Variable to define the target property of the assign task.
Select an Input Variable to define the source property of the elementary assign task.

Extended attribute

The following extended attribute is available:

Extended attribute	Description
ActionType	ActionType can have the following value: Assign: Set the value of a context variable Get environment variable: Copy its value to a context variable Get process ID: Copy its value to a context variable Graft: Add node (s) to a tree Prune : Remove node (s) from a tree

Get process ID: Source property is not mandatory, if empty, the following is generated by default: /PRC_SYS/PROCESS_ID.

Mapping

The Source property of the assign activity depends on the Action type of the assign activity. On the opposite, the Target context reference property always references a context variable that constitutes a container for an assigned value.

Change to Assign command
You can also easily create an assign activity using the Change to Assign command from the contextual menu of a process object.
