Assign activity Process with "Assign" implementation type.

When you create an assign activity with the "Assign" implementation type, this triggers the display of the Assignments tab:


In the Assignments tab you then have to:

Extended attribute

The following extended attribute is available:

Extended attribute Description
ActionType ActionType can have the following value:
Assign: Set the value of a context variable
Get environment variable: Copy its value to a context variable
Get process ID: Copy its value to a context variable
Graft: Add node (s) to a tree
Prune : Remove node (s) from a tree

Get process ID: Source property is not mandatory, if empty, the following is generated by default: /PRC_SYS/PROCESS_ID.

Mapping

The Source property of the assign activity depends on the Action type of the assign activity. On the opposite, the Target context reference property always references a context variable that constitutes a container for an assigned value.

Note   Change to Assign command
You can also easily create an assign activity using the Change to Assign command from the contextual menu of a process object.
