Impact analysis in PowerDesigner

Impact analysis in PowerDesigner is a three-stage process that implies the following steps:

• Analyze object dependencies and customize the way a change is propagated on depending objects. This can be done in the Dependencies page of the Impact Analysis dialog box
• Filter the list of changes that you want to review. This can be done in the List page of the Impact Analysis dialog box
• Print or Save the impact analysis in order to review it. This can be done in the Preview page of the Impact Analysis dialog box

You can open the Impact Analysis dialog box from several areas of the product like the Confirm Deletion dialog box, the Dependencies page of an object property sheet, a command in the Tools menu, contextual menus, and so on.
