Defining access permissions on a package

When you consolidate for the first time a model with packages, the model and its packages inherit the access permission of the repository folder where they are consolidated. The user who created the model in the repository has Full access permission, this permission can be modified later.

You can modify the permissions of the model later, they no longer depend on the folder permissions.

You can also modify the permissions on the packages inside the model and define for example different permissions for each user on each package of the model.

You must have the List permission to be able to see a package in the repository browser.

To define access permissions on a package:

1. Right-click a package node in the repository browser.
2. Select Permissions from the document context menu.
   
   The property sheet of the package opens to the Permissions page.
3. Click the Add tool.
   
   A list of users and groups appears.
4. Select one or several users or groups in the list and click OK.
   
   The selected users and groups appear in the list of permissions.
5. For each user or group, select the access permission from the drop down list box in the Access column.
   
6. Click OK.
