Chapter 8 Managing document versions in the repository
You can set and remove locks during extraction and consolidation.
Locking a document before extraction When you lock a document before extraction you protect the version stored in the repository. You can work on the document on your local machine with the guarantee that no other user will update the version on the repository
Unlocking a document after consolidation When you have finished your work on your local machine, you can consolidate the document and unlock the document after consolidation
