ODBC drivers

ODBC drivers are used by the PDM module to perform:

• Reverse engineering of a database
• Database generation
• Accessing a database/viewing data

Authenticated drivers

The ODBC drivers delivered with PowerDesigner are authenticated, their use is restricted to PowerDesigner.

If you want to use previous versions of ODBC drivers, for certain drivers, you may need to add the path of the folder containing those drivers in your system path.
