Chapter 2 Installing PowerDesigner

Minimum system requirements

PowerDesigner has the following minimum system requirements:

• Microsoft Windows XP
  
  Microsoft Windows 2000
  
  Microsoft Windows Server 2003
  
  Pentium 500 MHz
  
  256 MB RAM
• SVGA or higher-resolution graphics adapter and compatible color monitor (800x600)
• CD-ROM drive
• From 100 MB (minimal configuration) to 160 MB (typical configuration) of hard disk space for local-machine installation without online documentation. More may be required depending on installation options. The Network installation requires less hard disk space, only for system updates where needed.
