Configuring an ODBC data source

You can use the ODBC administrator program to configure a data source.

Steps To configure an ODBC data source:

  1. Select Database→Connect to display the data source connection dialog box.
  2. Select the Machine data source radio button.

    Select a data source from the dropdown listbox.

    or

    Select the File data source radio button.

    Browse to the directory that contains the .DSN file.

    Select the .DSN file.
  3. Click the Setup button to display the driver-dependent options dialog box. The ODBC configuration dialog box for Adaptive Server Anywhere appears as follows:
  4. Type or select information required by the DBMS.
  5. Click OK in each dialog box.
