Chapter 15 The Resource Editor
Each category and entry you select in the resource editor tree view can display the following properties to the right hand side of the editor.

| Name | Name of category or entry |
| Comment | Description of selected category or entry |
| Value | Value of entry |
When you right-click a category or an entry in the resource file tree view, the following editing options appear:
| Edit option | Description |

| New | Allows you to add a user-defined entry |
| Add items... | Allows you to add a category and/or an entry depending on the hidden resource file template. This template lists all possible categories and entries for the definition file. When you select Add Items, a selection dialog box appears to let you select one or several categories or entries. When you click OK, the selected categories or entries are added to the root or category and appear grayed out. You can edit these categories or entries by selecting their node in the tree view |
| Remove | Deletes the selected category and/or entry |
| Restore Comment | Restores the default comment for a selected category or entry which has been modified. This comment proceeds from the hidden template |
| Restore value | Restores the default value for a selected entry which has been modified. This value proceeds from the hidden template |
Each entry type is identified by a specific symbol in the resource editor tree.
You can drag and drop categories or entries in the tree view of the resource editor and also between two resource editors of the same type (for example two XOL editors).
