Chapter 14 Impact analysis
Propagation rules predefine events on object collections. You can modify these default events using the Change Event to [Delete] or Change Event to [Change] commands in the object contextual menu.
You can also select the Change Event Description command if you need to further customize the selected event.
The Event Description dialog box lets you modify predefined events using the Delete or Change check boxes.
You can also define your own events using the User-defined Events box. This allows you to fine tune the concept of event and adapt it to a specific need. For example, you can create an event ModifyDataType on the Domain metaclass. Then you can define a new propagation rule for each collection of the domain likely to be impacted by a data type change in the domain.
