Selecting a type of generation for a shortcut

You can choose how you want to generate external shortcuts during inter-model generation using the list of shortcuts.

You can generate a shortcut as:

• An object. Shortcut becomes an object in the generated model, thus it is a new object that looses through generation all links that existed in the target model
• A shortcut. Shortcut is generated as a shortcut in the generated model, thus it preserves the link to its target model through generation process

To select a type of generation for a shortcut:

1. Select Model→Shortcuts.
   
   The list of shortcuts appears.
2. Select a shortcut in the list.
3. Click the Generation column and select Shortcut or Object from the dropdown listbox.
   
   The type of generation appears in the Generation column.
4. Click OK.
