Tool Palettes

Tool palettes provide the activities and operators that you use in an editor.

The following table describes when to use the activities and operators in a tool palette.

Tool palettes and their descriptions

Tool paletteDescription
LogicThe decision points that identify the type of rule or activity flow to apply to the data.
Exception ProcessingA work task, such as compensation, fault handling, or timeout. Activities that are used for abnormal processing, such as the unavailability of a database or receiving an error response from an invoked service.
InterfaceThe interaction with external sources.
ActivitiesAssign, Complex, Delay and Undefined.
Boolean FunctionsBoolean operators used in expressions.
Number FunctionsNumber functions used in expressions.
String FunctionsString functions used in expressions.
Node Set FunctionsCount, local name, namespace-uri, and name used in expressions.
Generic Variable and ConstantsString, integer, decimal, date, time, date time, and boolean constants.
