SQL files provide a convenient way to gather SQL code for reuse in a project, such as creating complex procedural objects. You can group related SQL statements into a project and use the Visual SQL or Content Assist tools to add to or modify the contents. SQL Editor also allows off-line mode for SQL files, so that the user can work on SQL code development without connecting to a database and only attach to a database for deployment or execution. You can also right-click in the SQL Editor and select Save As to save a procedural object definition as an SQL file.
